What is plywood? Plywood is a multi-layer board formed by spinning logs into veneer skins, and then gluing these veneers together. Therefore, plywood is also called multi-layer board.

Ⅰ. The quality of the veneer skin of plywood furniture

The raw material that affects the quality of plywood furniture is the quality of the veneer skin, whether it is large-diameter wood peeling, the degree of defects and repairs, and whether it has been fully dried and homogenized before use. To sum up, whether it is a good veneer skin is used for bent plywood bar stools.

Ⅱ. The process of plywood furniture

The craftsmanship of plywood furniture is also important. How many times is it formed in the process? Is the hot pressing process of the press reasonable? Is the arrangement and combination of veneer skins scientific? This affects the strength, stability and post-processing properties of the plywood, such as the finish. Relatively speaking, it is impossible for ordinary end consumers to know all the details, and this has no impact on the use of end consumers. It is mainly very important for veneer factories and furniture factories.

Ⅲ. Adhesives used in plywood furniture

The most important thing is what adhesive is used for custom ply furniture. This is a key factor that directly affects the grade of plywood.

(1) It uses ordinary urea-formaldehyde glue, which is not waterproof and has the problem of formaldehyde release.

(2) Using melamine modified urea-formaldehyde adhesive, the formaldehyde emission can be controlled to more than E1 level or even E0 standard, the waterproof performance is greatly improved, and it can meet the needs of furniture and decoration.

(3) DIMEI plywood furniture manufacturers use vegetable protein glue, so it needs to improve the waterproof and strength problems. In addition, the mildew proof problem needs extra attention in a relatively humid environment.

Ⅳ. The number of layers of plywood furniture

When the thickness of the plywood furniture is determined, the more layers of plywood, the higher the mechanical properties of the board, and the more stable it will be. But this is not a decisive issue for consumers. If the glue is eco-friendly and waterproof, then it doesn't matter how many layers. If the glue is not environmentally friendly and does not perform well, the more layers there are, the more problems it will bring. However, if there are special requirements, such as the application of containers or vehicle body bottom plates, there are special requirements for mechanical properties. For general decoration and furniture, there is no special distinction. Some people say that the smaller the number of layers, the better the quality of the veneer used, and the closer it is to the nature of the wood itself, which makes sense. However, plywood furniture has good raw materials, reasonable structure and high degree of manual participation. If it uses formaldehyde-free adhesives, it should become the highest-end board.
